I noticed the rumor has been pulled from Wikipedia, so I decided to pull it as well, until some firm evidence gets presented.
Some posts across the Internet have showed general improvements only for 2009. On a side note, the main site has been updated, but no news link is showing yet.
You can be sure, once I hear about something new, I will post it here for soon.
Stay tuned for all the off-season updates that I normally provide as I can.

The family and I took a trip to Cedar Point over the weekend. here are some of the pictures my wife took with her new Canon 40D and IS lens.
Onto the Road Trip Report.
The sign leading towards Cedar Point

Almost there

Waiting in line

Best shot of the evening, the sunset behind Gemini and Mean Streak. This one is going into my office on the wall (Think large picture).

My new favorite ride of all time with the kids (this was my first ride on Magnum, I’m the one you can’t see with the hands up). I was on this ride three times this weekend, always a walk-on, no wait!

Going back in a few weeks for Halloweekends, they are getting the park ready!

Finally, Maverick leaving the high speed launch out of the tunnel.

This was by far the best weekend ever at Cedar Point. The youngest was finally tall enough to ride Magnum, Millennium Force, Gemini and Blue Streak.

Drove by the park today and noticed a new sign up. For those interested, checked out whois.sc for domain information. It was nice to see the park busy today. May stop by later tonight for a few spins on Timbers.

If you have not got a chance to see the article in the Muskegon Chronicle, they did a write-up on Thunderhawk yesterday.
Mlive Thunderhawk Article
Just two more days and MIA will be open for the first weekend. With showers in the forecast, I hope it holds off enough to go ride Shivering Timbers.

Finally, less than one month to go until our favorite park is open again. I know several members have been asking for an update. The official site posted a great update on April 15, this can be found by click here.
I have not done any photo updates because there would not be anything additional to take pictures of, other than what the official site has already done. Not much going on right now other than getting the rides up and running.
This blog became real popular this past off-season due to my continued updates on Thunderhawk, thanks to everyone for pointing people to this site. Generally in the summer I don’t post much, but would still like to keep people interested in checking out the blog.
With that in mind, what would you like to see as far as updates during the summer? Pictures of various rides at MIA? Pictures from other parks? Please share your ideas of what you would be looking for. I will be visiting for sure, Cedar Point and MIA this year. I will probably be at MIA almost every weekend.

Took a drive by Michigan’s Adventure today and noticed many interesting things. First and foremost, it does not look like the trains are on-site yet for Thunderhawk, but I am sure they will arrive soon. Part of the track is still indeed yellow, as shown in the pictures below, and last but certainly not least, rides are starting to appear on the tracks! It’s a sign that opening day is soon to come!
From the picture below, looks like some work is being done to the trains for Wildcat.

Building work is still in progress for Thunderhawk’s station.

Here is the shot that shows some of the track is still yellow for Thunderhawk.

Zach Zoomer Trains are on the track and ready for testing.

Big Dipper Trains are on the track and ready for testing.

Giant Gondola’s are uncovered and ready to go on the Gondola Wheel

The chains are on for the Flying Trapeze

My Favorite Lift Hill

A little bit of work being done to Shivering Timbers?

In case no one has ever seen it, here is one of the cameras that takes your shot as you come down the last hill on Shivering before the Helix.

One last picture from today, a shot of Zach Zoomer’s Lift Hill.

Let me know what you think, only 41 days until the first weekend MIA is open. I am also planning a trip to Cedar Point on the 10th of May.

Here are the rest of the photo’s that I felt were worth posting from yesterday. I also wanted let everyone know that the trains are not on site yet.
This is a shot similar to the one I posted yesterday, but shows the entire Thunderhawk ride from across the lake.

Another closeup of the Station cover.

A close up of the construction work being done on the station.

Another construction shot.

Another shot of the lift hill.

Another random shot of the station and spare train track.

A shot of the station by the train.

One last photo.

Check back soon for more updates!

Stopped by today and got a lot more photo’s for everybody to view. Please continue leaving comments.
Special thanks once again to Michigan’s Adventure in letting me take more photos.
This first photo is my favorite, both Wildcat and Thunderhawk shadows in the lake.

Here is another shot from across the lake showing construction of the station cover.

More construction shots

This one shows the spare train track.
I will post more later today or tomorrow.

I finally have a new update for everyone.
Drove by today and noticed a new building going up. Looks like the cover to the station possibly? What do you think?
